Name Rollback

So I heard Jagex has been making previously taken names available again (because they were taken a long time ago and the account had been inactive for a long period of time). I was wondering if any of you know about this and how one could tell if a name has become available (because I really want Blue

)

I doubt Blue will be available. I heard about this. As long as you log into your characters every now and then, it won't affect the account. Anyways, I'd personally like a good 1 letter name like Z or X.

yah, i don't know. I have always wanted my username just to be James (my name). But I don't see it happening

You never know until you try. I've seen people with some awesome names that would have definitely been taken before, such as "Orion" and "Time."

wouldn't surprise me if they did. although if those people come back in 5 years that would be interesting to see what they would do.

no clue on if they will or not, but god i like me rs name

have like.. 6 of them.

Guess that's what I get.. 5 years of playing and not once have I ever taken someone off my friends list. no matter how long it's been since they even lasted logged.

Yeah that's what happens to the names if they get taken away, I've been waiting for Blue to turn into numbers but it hasn't yet so I'll be waiting still :l

I know absolutely nothing about a names rollback. Of course I've never changed my rsn and I never will. I'll stick with this name till my time of playing rs is done. Had itsince February 2005 when I first started playing rs and I prefer to stay true to my original name rather than be like most scapers now who change they're name every month.

Even though I do not support RWT I something go over to sythe and browse their forums to see what is happening.
And though extensive browsing I have noticed that you can get what ever name you want for the right price, it really is amazing to see how many names someone can hoard.
Once again I do not support RWT

They would make names available for accounts that were made several years ago and never logged in etc. They weren't gonna start deleting accounts with reasonable stats or anything, only way those names would ever become available is the owner of the account changing name to something else. I can't remember when exactly it was they spoke about this, but they did make a lot of names available.
