Hello everybody! It's holiday time! As it is the time of the year for giving, we have decided to host an event where you can do just that; RSBANDB's own Secret Santa! To enter, you just have to post in this topic, please be clear if you want take part in Secret Santa. Shane will take down your names and will randomly assign you somebody else from this topic Thursday night, which will be sent to you in a private message. Before this though there will be more events! First, we will be going to God Wars Dungeon for a Boss Takedown on Thursday night at 10PM Eastern (8PM MST, 7pm PST)! We will be on World 72, and YOU will pick what boss we face! The poll for this will be running until Wednesday afternoon. On Friday, we will have a live recording of RSBANDBUpdate!, followed immediately by a Christmas-themed bingo game in Mumble! The live show is set to start at 10PM Eastern, or 8PM MST. Gifts will be exchanged on Saturday, December 20 at 5PM Eastern (3PM MST, 2PM PST, 10pm UTC) on World 72 behind the Seers Village bank. At this time, we will also be hosting a costume contest! The winner will receive a prize. Please note that there will be NO COSMETIC OVERRIDES ALLOWED. Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays everybody! Hope to see you all this weekend! |

Sounds good... hope to be there. Just praying it's not Zilyana, as I am doing my solo series there at the moment, and she drops nothing!! Killing the mages in the room outside is far more profitable, lol. |

Hmm. I don't really know what to say for a budget. I'd say use reason and don't expect to give/receive something like a rare. That being said, I think it might be wise if everybody creates a little list of a couple of items that they would like, and we can send those out when names are chosen. |

On a (slightly related) note, would it be possible for me to donate to your site through a couple bonds or something? I don't really have/want Paypal set up but I felt it would be nice in the spirit of Christmas. I figure I can give it to one of your staff and they can donate you $10 or whatever. I'm away for a few weeks with family so it might be difficult to hook up for the moment, but if it would help, let me know. I don't need a forum rank for it either, if that's a concern  .

I think I ought to op-out. I don't have the 10m to spend for something like this. I took it more as a gag gift idea, to have fun and be creative. A gift that is more there, to put a smile on your face, rather then a item that's practical. |

Trust me, I believe entirely in gag gifts! Most of the time when I do a Secret Santa, I look at the wishlist of the person, and I pick something that fulfills a few of their wants and doesn't break the bank. It's a bit harder to do that in a game because there's only so many items, but that's the joy of this; you can get what you feel like getting. This shouldn't feel like something you're blowing half of your bank on, instead it should feel like something fun and different to do for the holidays. |

The gifts should in no way be super expensive or break the bank. Try to focus on something that is fun, meaningful, and within the realm of your possibility. Bonds can be donated to any community ambassador (or myself) then they'll be put to the fund for when we need a prize or something similar. |
